Wiscasset Students learn about the Teluga and Hindi Languages


As part of International Education Week (IEW), Yashaswini Dikonda, an exchange student from Annaram Shareef, state of Telangaha, India, instructed her peers at Wiscasset Middle High School on the unique historic, cultural, and linguistic characteristics of India. Yashaswini is fluent in English, Teluga, and Hindi languages. Yashaswini instructed in the Teluga language, one of the classic languages of India.



International Education Week is a joint initiative between the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of State. It's a time to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange and to promote programs that help U.S. students and teachers develop global skills.
